The Genocide Report is a registered 501(c)(3) educational and humanitarian nonprofit advancing education, legal literacy, and research related to atrocity prevention and international humanitarian and international law.
For more than fifteen years, The Genocide Report has worked to make the world a witness to genocide and mass atrocity crimes. Over time, our work has shown us that witnessing alone is not enough. Communities affected by violence need access to knowledge, legal protections, and the tools to understand their rights. As patterns of atrocity increasingly intersect with forced displacement, misinformation, and the erosion of international law, we expanded our mission to focus on education, legal literacy, and prevention.
Today, The Genocide Report advances these goals by translating international humanitarian and international law into accessible knowledge, supporting ethical documentation, and expanding access to information for displaced and conflict-affected communities—so that witnessing contributes to protection, accountability, and prevention.
