TGR Projects

TGR Projects - children in Kassala Sudan.

In 2024-25, TGR will launch two Inaugural projects: TRG Scholarships and The Witness Project.

TGR Scholarships

The vast majority of resettled refugees in the U.S. come from conflict regions or are fleeing persecution. In most cases, they have lost everything and are starting over in a new country. We believe that having the opportunity to attend college and to earn a degree, advanced degree, or a trade certification, will help to better prepare them for a promising future in their new country. With that in mind, The Genocide Report is launching TGR Scholarships.

TGR Scholarships will be awarded to resettled refugees in the United States. Applicants may apply for full-ride educational scholarships, that will cover the cost of a 4-year undergraduate degree. Applicants may also apply for advanced degree scholarships to continue their education beyond the baccalaureate degree. Also available are trade scholarships to help those not seeking a degree, to earn trade certification.

TGR’s goal is to raise $1,000,000 for our scholarship fund. We hope you will join us by contributing to TGR Scholarships.

Details, requirements, and application information coming in March 2024.

The Witness Project

In the last decade, the number of people displaced by conflict and violence, persecution, and climate crisis has doubled. Today, there are more than 114 million people forcibly displaced around the world. Working to meet the humanitarian needs of families displaced through no fault of their own, and in keeping with our core value of Making the World a Witness, TGR created The Witness Project.

The Witness Project works to provide humanitarian support, food, shelter, clothing, medical care, educational needs, and more. One component of The Witness Project is the Hope Box.

The Hope Box is pre-packed to meet the immediate needs of children and adults in vulnerable or exhausted conditions. The boxes include a fleece blanket, mylar blanket, sleep mat, reusable water bottle, emergency water, food items, soap, laundry detergent, toothbrush, tooth powder, first aid kit, and menstrual hygiene management including disposable pads, reusable pads, and a purpose cloth.

In 2024-25, TGR will distribute Hope Boxes to areas where conflict and violence, climate crisis, natural disasters, and displacement prevent civilians from having access to clean water, food items, hygiene management, and health supplies.

TGR’s goal is to distribute 1 million Hope Boxes in 2024-25.

Please consider making a donation to The Witness Project or sponsoring a Hope Box to be sent to a person in need.

TGR Funding

TGR Projects are grassroots humanitarian projects. The Genocide Report is supported by public funding. We do not take government funding or government grants – not from any government. However, we have applied to the United Nations and other organizations that support NGOs for grants. Please consider giving to one (or all) TGR Projects. Your donation is 100% tax deductible! We need your help to continue Making the World a Witness.
